Taurus - Capricorn Love Compatibility

In theory Taurus and Capricorn represent one of the best possible Star Sign pairings, with the ability to blend perfectly with each other and experience a very high level of love compatibility. But in practice, what’s most important for the success of their relationship is how committed they are to each other as a couple and how willing they are to put each other first in their lives.

Traditionally this is considered to be one of the most harmonious Star Sign combinations, with good prospects for long-term love compatibility and happiness!

Ruled by the same element of Earth, Taurus and Capricorn share the same desire for material attainment and a similarly down-to-earth outlook on life. Each sign also has a genuine respect for the other’s talents and abilities – Taurus for Capricorn’s ambitiousness and self-discipline, Capricorn for Taurus’s determination and willpower – and are able to interact creatively in a variety of ways.

Difficulties may arise only if Capricorn’s strong work ethic clashes with Taurus’s hedonistic side and enjoyment of the good life. The languorous Bull can be a lazy beast with expensive tastes and a decadent streak that doesn't always sit well with thrifty Capricorn – probably the least self-indulgent of all the star signs with a tendency to drive itself relentlessly.

In general though, there’s far too much congeniality and goodwill between Taurus and Capricorn for them to fall out in a major way. These guys are natural born buddies, and the slight element of tension present between them merely fans the flames of the strong attraction which very often exists.

Emotionally, Taurus and Capricorn are two of the most sensible and feet-on-the-ground signs in the Zodiac and in this sense are highly compatible. Neither sign frets overly much about affairs of the heart – romantic dramas aren’t really their thing, and where love is concerned they just tend to get on with it.

As Earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn are more emotionally focused on practical issues, and ensuring their everyday lives run smoothly. Both Taurus and Capricorn derive emotional satisfaction from money-making and material acquisitions, but pleasure-loving Taurus finds it much easier to relax and enjoy the fruits of its labors than frugal Capricorn, who is often too focused on work and responsibilities ever to fully let go emotionally.

Sexually, Taurus and Capricorn are particularly well matched, both being quite earthy and sensuous and both taking an essentially practical approach. Okay, so maybe there's a bit too much emphasis on caution and commonsense and not quite enough on romance and excitement. But neither is really looking for a quick sexual thrill: what these signs want is security and reliability – and that's exactly what they can offer each other.

Both being quite conservative and traditional in outlook, and both sharing a highly practical, commonsense way of thinking, these two Star Signs enjoy quite a good level of mental compatibility. Taurus and Capricorn are very much on the same page in that they’d rather focus their minds on essential facts and realities when making decisions or solving problems, than waste time talking about abstract ideas or feelings.

However, if they concentrate too much on everyday, mundane issues at the expense of more intellectually stimulating, mind-expanding topics, over time their communication risks becoming rather dry, dull and overly serious. Also, if emotional issues urgently in need of discussion are constantly swept under the rug because talking about them is uncomfortable, there’s a risk these will gradually escalate into major sources of discord. To avoid this, both signs need to lighten up a little and become better at putting their feelings into words.

As two highly diligent, financially astute Earth Signs, Taurus and Capricorn run the risk of being so focused on material achievement that they put work and money ahead of their relationship with each other and the wellbeing of their partnership as a whole.
