Libra - Virgo Love Compatibility

Although in many ways it may seem that couples with consecutive Star Signs, like Libra and Virgo, have little in common, because there’s a greater than average probability that they will share Mercury and/or Venus signs, they often have far more similarities, and thus a higher level of love compatibility, than one might expect.

For sure, there are some big differences between Virgo and Libra due to the conflicting Earth-Air combination – the former being basically a doer, focused mainly on work and material accomplishment, while the latter is more of a thinker and much more people-oriented.

Nevertheless – probably because they're next-door neighbors in the Zodiac – consecutive Star Signs like Virgo and Libra are traditionally considered to have quite a good level of love compatibility and a reasonable chance of understanding each other and getting on.

There’s a surprising ability to tolerate each other’s contrasting way of going about things, and they can generally relate to one another’s weak points, which each can help the other to overcome. Virgo, for example, can often sympathize with Libra’s tendency towards procrastination and encourage it to be a lot more decisive and productive. In turn, easygoing Libra can calm the worries and anxieties which stem from Virgo’s over-perfectionism, offering it greater tranquillity of mind.

In a live-in relationship, Libra and Virgo can often make a really good team. Domestically they work brilliantly together, with conscientious Virgo looking after most of the chores and maintaining the necessary order and routine, while stylish Libra creates a beautiful environment for them both to relax in. All's well until Virgo gets too picky about Libra's lazy streak – but because both are quite good at controlling their anger, harmony usually prevails.

At first glance, Libra and Virgo would appear to be somewhat incompatible emotionally. Easygoing Libra may have a hard time at first adapting to Virgo’s nit-picking criticism and meticulous attention to detail. Although Libra certainly wants everything around it to be aesthetically pleasing, it’s rather lackadaisical at times about attending to housework tasks, which can be very irritating to Virgo.

Libra is also far more tolerant than Virgo of different approaches, and because it hates conflict and disharmony, is happy to overlook others’ failings rather than risk a confrontation. Virgo’s compulsive fault-finding and sharp, sometimes quite cruel, sarcasm can be excruciatingly uncomfortable for its peace-loving Libran partner.

But the truth is that Libra is just as much of a perfectionist as Virgo in its own way, in that it longs for a perfect relationship which is trouble-free and based on true equality and sharing. Has it found it with Virgo? That will probably depend on the ability of both people to achieve a happy medium – not too laid-back, not too uptight – between each other’s contrasting styles, that enables them to co-exist harmoniously.

Sexually, Libra and Virgo may not always click initially. True, both take an unusually refined and mutually respectful approach to love-making. But romantic Libra may complain that down-to-earth Virgo is a bit too cool and clinical and lacking the sentimental touch – while to self-contained Virgo, Libra's constant need for companionship can be hard to fulfil at times.

For things to work between these two signs sexually, Virgo needs to get more into the hearts and flowers stuff, while Libra has to ease up on its togetherness demands.

Both these Star Signs have a highly analytical style of thinking, but while ideas-person Libra likes investigating, and weighing, different viewpoints and theories, down to earth Virgo is only interested in looking into concrete facts and realities. Virgo knows what’s what and complains that Libra is too wishy-washy and ungrounded. In turn, the Air sign wishes Virgo could be more open-minded and allowing.

Conversation is more important to Libra than to Virgo, who is more mentally self-contained with less of a need to share its opinions with others. As a result, Libra may not get enough of the easy, relaxed, agreeable two-way dialogue it always seeks in a relationship, feeling that Virgo is too focused on pointing out flaws and inaccuracies at the expense of harmonious communication,

The degree of challenge in a Libra-Virgo relationship fundamentally depends on just how representative the two people are of their respective star signs. A stereotypical Virgo is an out-and-out workaholic, not much of a party animal and possibly rather socially withdrawn. An All-Libra type is the biggest charmer in the entire Zodiac, loves nothing more than being with people, and is often a little bit work-shy.

In the worst case scenario these two would probably end up spending very little time together. But because of how horoscopes work, neighboring star signs like Virgo and Libra often share some of each other’s traits and have more in common than you would initially expect – and this is especially the case if they are romantically attracted to each other. For this reason, the odds of a Virgo-Libra love match turning out to be successful are estimated at 50/50.
