Leo - Taurus Love Compatibility

Leo and Taurus may not have many personality similarities, but this doesn’t necessarily mean they can't achieve a good level of love compatibility. In reality it’s often those couples who have the least in common who enjoy the most exciting and stimulating relationships!

Traditionally this combination is considered to be very difficult! When two people are born under conflicting elements – here Fire and Earth – it can be hard for them to fully understand where one another are coming from and their level of love compatibility is likely to be poor.

Tensions can arise due to their contrasting ways of going about things – normally quite cautiously and pragmatically when someone has the Sun in Taurus, but much more confidently and passionately in the case of a Leo Sun.

The main differences between Leo and Taurus often center around money. Although both signs enjoy the finer things in life, Leo's headline-grabbing extravagance can prove a major source of irritation to the careful Bull, for whom financial security is paramount. In turn, the flamboyant and highly sociable Lion may see stay-at-home Taurus as a boring tight-wad and party-pooper, intent on cramping its style.

Because both of these 'fixed signs' tend to be highly inflexible and insistent on getting their own way, there’s a risk of major power struggles in the event of disagreements. To be able to function harmoniously together, each has to be more adaptable and more willing to make compromises. For Taurus the main challenge is to avoid riding roughshod over Leo’s delicate pride, while Leo has to learn not to attempt to push Taurus around.

One of the best things Leo and Taurus have in common emotionally has to be their extreme loyalty. Neither tends to be fickle or unreliable in matters of the heart and both have an admirable willingness to stick by their partner both through good times and bad. Indeed, due to the astrological ‘fixity’ of these two signs, once Leo and Taurus have made a commitment, it’s emotionally difficult for them ever to break it.

One of the most troublesome emotional similarities between Leo and Taurus is their pig-headed obstinacy – a failing that’s often exacerbated when these two signs try to co-exist in close proximity. Nothing makes Taurus more likely to dig in its heels and refuse to budge than bossy, know-it-all Leo’s intransigence.

The ‘Lion King’ may be well used to getting its own way with the rest of the Zodiac, but it has certainly met its match in Taurus. When thwarted, fiery Leo will flare up much faster and more dramatically than stoical Taurus, who can put up with an awful lot before it finally loses its cool.

Sexually, these two signs aren't particularly well matched. To steady, stable Taurus, the passionate Lion can seem a bit too much of a drama queen and a bit too hot to handle; in turn, attention-seeking Leo may feel it doesn't always get enough praise and attention from the down-to-earth Bull. For good sex, Taurus has to take more account of Leo's vanity while Leo needs to be a little more grounded.

Achieving an acceptable level of mental harmony and learning how to discuss issues in a constructive way may require quite a lot of hard work on the part of these two Star Signs.

The main problem here is that Taurus and Leo represent two of the most stubborn-minded and mentally inflexible signs in the entire Zodiac. In the case of differences of opinion, adapting their viewpoints and reaching a compromise in the interests of relationship harmony doesn’t come easily to either of these two. Having once arrived at a certain standpoint, both people will tend to stick with it through thick and thin!

This doesn’t necessarily lead to ferocious arguments though – Taurus would much rather settle for a quiet life than engage in a fight, and sunny-hearted Leo can’t tolerate a bad atmosphere for long. They just seem to get stuck in a mental limbo, each rigidly attached to their own position and unable to make any kind of useful progress, when important judgments or decisions need to be made.

Developing more flexibility and give and take is the major compatibility challenge a Leo-Taurus couple will encounter – and it won’t be easy. In one another, each is faced with a mirror of their own stubbornness. If either finds it unappealing, they have the motivation to change themselves rather than demanding that their partner does the changing.

Reaching a compromise over their different spending habits will also be critically important. Leo has to accept that maintaining a healthy bank balance is vital to Taurus’s need for material security. But to keep a smile on Leo’s face, Taurus has to be willing to frequently loosen the purse strings.
