Leo - Aries Love Compatibility

In theory Aries and Leo represent one of the best possible Star Sign pairings with the potential to blend perfectly with each other and experience a very high level of love compatibility. But in practice, what’s most important for the success of their relationship is how committed they are to each other as a couple and how willing they are to put each other first in their lives.

Traditionally this is considered to be one of the most harmonious Star Sign combinations, with good prospects for long-term love compatibility and happiness!

Ruled by the same element of Fire, Leo and Aries share a similarly enthusiastic and dynamic approach to life. Each sign also has a genuine respect for the other’s talents and abilities – Aries for Leo’s confidence and ambitiousness, Leo for Aries’ courage and drive – and are able to interact creatively in a variety of ways.

Difficulties may arise only as a result of each person’s natural desire to be leader and tendency to want to boss the other one around. Both Leo and Aries tend to have big egos and neither is afraid to make its needs heard loud and clear. To avoid ongoing bickering, each has to be prepared to compromise on getting its own way.

In general though, there’s far too much congeniality and goodwill between these Star Signs for them to fall out in a major way. Leo and Aries are natural born buddies, and the slight element of tension present between them merely fans the flames of the strong physical attraction which very often exists.

Leo and Aries understand, and relate well to, each others’ fiery, passionate temperaments. Heated fights – usually the result of jealous insecurities – and equally hot reunions are all part of the emotional drama both these Star Signs tend to thrive on and unlikely to cause any real problems in their relationship.

On a more subtle level, however, approval-hungry Leo may complain of not always getting enough applause and attention from the self-centered Ram, who is usually too preoccupied with its own exploits to spare much time for massaging the Lion’s big ego.

Sexually, Leo and Aries are exceptionally well matched, both being intensely passionate and up for lots of energetic action. Okay, so the high level of excitement between them can sometimes spill over into little fights about who's going to be on top. But it takes a lot to dampen their fiery libido, and kissing and making up afterwards is all part of the fun.

Here we have two very independent-minded individuals, very much concerned with their own creative interests and projects, both of whom want to dominate the conversation in this relationship.

The big problem is that while both these Star Signs love to talk endlessly about themselves and their big ideas, neither are very interested in listening to the other since they’re usually too busy thinking up their next exciting adventure. Aries’s habit of ignoring Leo can be hurtful to the big Cat, who craves approval and affirmation from others and is in need of constant ego bolstering.

Leo, who likes to keep up appearances, also finds the Ram’s blunt outspokenness somewhat embarrassing at times, especially when it happens in public. Aries, on the other hand, couldn’t really care less what other people think and always tells it like it is.

None of this is to say that there isn’t quite a lot of mental harmony between these two Star Signs. But being two spirited and somewhat volatile people, when they disagree their fights are likely to be dramatic and boisterous.

Clashes of ego interests represent the main compatibility challenge in Leo and Aries love relationships. As two strongly self-expressive Fire Signs, Aries and Leo run the risk of being so focused on doing their own thing, they fail to give adequate support and encouragement to their partner's creative endeavors. In the case of a conflict of ego interests, each should be careful not to put their own needs above the needs of their partner, or above the good of the relationship as a whole.
