What is Good Luck?

The dictionary definition of ‘good luck’ is success or prosperity randomly brought to us by chance. But for those of us who believe there’s no such thing as pure coincidence and there’s a good reason for everything that happens in life, there has to be much more to it than that!

Universal Law dictates that nothing can come to us that we haven’t previously created for ourselves. So good luck isn’t simply some indiscriminate favor dispensed at the whim of the gods: it is something that we must have personally worked for or earned in the past.

Understanding the Law of Karma

To get the most luck out of life, it’s important to understand how the law of karma or cause and effect operates at a worldly level. Because ‘what goes around, comes around’, that which we receive in life is directly related to that which we give. So if we show generosity to others, the Universe is more likely to be generous towards us in return.

Of course, there’s more to being generous than just handing out money or material gifts. There are so many different ways in which we can give to others in life: we all have some unique asset or talent that can put a smile on someone’s face.

Whenever we give of ourselves, in whatever way that might be, we can rest assured that our gift will eventually return to us in the form of ‘good luck’.

But it’s important not to be motivated by the expectation of some kind of payback. When we give, it needs to be simply for the love of giving, not for the hope of some kind of reward. That’s how the Universal law of karma works.
